CISE - Ethical Work Network has been accredited for certification to the social accountability standard SA8000 and for SA8000 auditor training since the year 20001 .
Over the course of those years, rigorous procedures and absolute respect for the spirit of SA8000 certification have established Ethical Work Network's credibility and propelled it into the position of market leader in Italy.

The network was set up on the initiative of CISE (Centre for Innovation and Economic Development), itself a branch of the Forlė-Cesena Chamber of Commerce, a public body which is legally bound to allow all its stakeholders a share in its management policies. CISE is a genuinely impartial certification body solely providing social accountability certification and availing itself of:
- a network of technical partners with sound experience of auditing management systems based on leading international standards;
- a Certification Committee that allows all categories of stakeholder in the scheme equal representation and that has the sole right to make certification decisions.

Ethical Work Network's goal is to develop its certification services so as to move steadily from the Italian to the world stage, to go global in an effort to meet the demands of companies that are becoming ever more international, both structurally and in their business relations.
Therefore, the Ethical Work Network is on the lookout for international partners interested in engaging in SA8000 auditing and joining a network that offers a rigorous approach to continuous auditor training, to audit performance, to decision-making mechanisms and to developing the support tools for certification and oversight processes.

It is our wish that the starting point for this new venture into international business partnerships will be a set of shared values covering the approach to auditing and the methodology and tools to be used.
To that end, from 19 to 23 May a special training course will be offered to develop the profile of SA8000 trained auditors, qualified to operate within the Ethical Work Network and the profile of SA8000 certification service managers and operators (see the attached schedule for more details), with the aim of setting the guidelines for well structured and long-term partnerships.
